Getting Focused…

I have a plan for this blog… I know it’s been an entire year since I’ve written anything here; I’m not dead, just busy and unfocused. That’s where the blog comes in… writing helps me to focus. Even though I journal regularly, when I was blogging I felt more focused. So it’s worth getting back into that groove.
I’ve been making a lot of music mixes, mostly for swaps and postal letterboxing rings. I am working on three right now and have committed to another that isn’t due until after the new year. One I am currenly working on that is proving to be much tougher than I had imagined it would be is “This is a Repeat After Me Song.” The basic premise is a CD mix with 12-20 songs where the last word of the song title needs to appear somewhere in the title of the next song. So if my first song was “Give Me Some Wheels” then my next song could be “No Wheels to Ride” and the next might be “Ride the Lightning” followed by “Lightning Crashes” and so on… I get on a roll where I’ve got 5-6 songs that I actually like and that flow well one after the other, ang then I hit a dead end. This has happened several times so now I have 4 little groups of songs that ideally could be connected to one another… if I could find the right songs. I told myself I was going to use only music I actually have and not buy anything new, but I might have to cheat a little there! Anyway, I’ll let you all know how that ends up.
