One of the women on our letterboxing list was hosting an ATC swap themed “My Hometown” requiring that at least one hand-carved stamp image be incorporated into the design. I don’t get involved with a lot of swaps, mostly because I’m such a procrastinator and I usually wind up burning the midnight oil the night before they’re due, but this one sounded like fun. Even though I now live in Muskegon and was born and raised in Hudsonville, I consider Grand Haven to be my hometown. I lived there for many years, raised my kids there and it is the place I always think of when I think of “home.” The lighthouse image is from a hand-carved stamp, the background is watercolor and the lettering/detailing is black pigma pen.

Oh, and true to form, I waited until the last minute and was up into the wee hours to get these out in time. Some things never change…
